Three days visiting Yorkshire and Stoke-on-Trent

Having taken delivery of my new guidebook, my first to the nation's escort agencies on the Tuesday before Erotica, I had had one day on the road putting them into sex shops throughout the West Midlands before Erotica and then I had topped up the sex shops of Soho with it and other books whilst down in London for the show. This still left plenty of the country to cover and one area where there were a lot of outlets I supplied was Yorkshire, with sex shops throughout both West and South Yorks, so on Wednesday I set out for a day both restocking the sex shops and visiting a few interesting ladies and the odd parlour.

All in all while it was successful enough when it came to the sex shops, when it came to seeing the ladies and parlours it was a complete damp squib. The lady whom I thought I would have the most success with was Mistress Hellena, the supremo, and a glamorous one to boot, at Hotel BDSM, a remarkable institution operating from an enormous Victorian building in pleasant surroundings in Dewsbury. It boasts the most comprehensive range of corrective equipment and in Mistress Hellena, and now a host of guest mistresses including for example, Mistress Jay, the baby faced torturess from the Yorkshire Dungeon, they have a hell of a range of ladies. The building is even available for overnight stays, if you wish to bring someone along for a night of correction and they have a fascinating and very successful business.

When I had rung her the previous day, Mistress Hellena was keen as can be to see me, but that was before the customers piled up and this is a busy institution, so despite ringing on several occasions I was just not able to see her. Let us hope I have better luck next time.

I had a similar lack of luck with Alisha of Doncaster, a very popular lady working from a village near the town, who texted me to tell me she had family matters that had cropped up unexpectedly and Pussy Cat of Leeds who was simply not answering her phone.

My biggest disappointment was however my visit to Huddersfield, where I had been promised a complimentary session by the proprietress of Gems, the town's leading parlour. After waiting several minutes for a session with one of the parlour's stars, Angelina, I was informed that although they would wave the house part of the money that was normally required for a session, I would have to pay Angelina's part. This has happened to me before on odd occasions, generally when parlours are having a tough time of it and who is not these days, so I thanked the receptionist and left it at that.

Meanwhile when I visited the Diplomat in Sheffield, the man I needed to see was not around, though subsequent phone conversations indicate business will result from my making contact with them and the only person I did see in the end and it was right at the end of the day was Carolynn, a very attractive black lady, whom I met at a coffee shop in the centre of Leeds in fifteen minutes that she had to spare before she saw someone else. Whether I will have made a sale or not, I can only wait and see.

The contrast with my earlier trips this way was notable and I will leave the area for some time now, probably until I come up with my guide to the North of England, Scotland and Ireland some time in the early spring. Given the number of trips I have made to the area over recent months, I was probably expecting too much, but at least my new book is now on sale at plenty of outlets.

The following day I had a bit of business to do in Stoke-on-Trent, the nearest city to my home and a couple of parlours had opened there recently, so I thought it a suitable opportunity to check them out. There was also the odd sex shop to visit.

My first call was on Abigail's, a parlour that had reopened after being closed for about eighteen months. A couple of years ago this city boasted more massage parlours per head of the population than any other city in Britain, but in late 2008 a lot closed down after discreet pressure from the powers that be and the number operating plummeted from more than twenty to less than ten. Abigail's unusually had closed a few months before the mass closures, because of a dispute with the landlord. The dispute finally resolved, the parlour reopened in August of this year and so I was not altogether surprised when on arriving at the parlour on Thursday afternoon I found my old friend Gloria running things in her inimicable style.

I explained my new situation regarding what I could offer them and we had a successful chat including sorting out all the basic details for the parlour and I was invited to stay and enjoy a session with Tiffany, a slim petite brunette, who has already made quite an impression on visitors to the parlour. However I had several other calls to make and so I suggested I call back the following day to sample Tiffany's skills, after we had concluded our business. Gloria, who was going to be around then, happily agreed to my suggestion.

After popping into the city's main independent sex shop I called on the new parlour to open in the city, the D & G Health Spa in Stoke's London Road. Occupying a former computer shop, it is roomy and boasts some attractive staff, but what makes it really distinctive is its cellar which boasts the best dungeon I have ever come across at a Potteries parlour. And all the facilities have not even yet been installed. Again I checked up on all their basic details and agreed to come back the following day.

On the Saturday I revisited both parlours, successfully concluding my business with both and enjoyed a very pleasant session with Tiffany, who shows great promise and who displays delightful oral skills. Reflecting on my visit to Huddersfield, one simply has to acknowledge in this business you win some and you lose some.
